Grilled Halloumi and Caramelised Orange Skewers
Halloumi is a great source of protein for children and can be easily incorporated into meals. It’s high in calcium and other essential vitamins and minerals that help to help healthy growth and development. Halloumi is also lower in fat, making it a healthier choice than many other types of cheese.

Ingredients
- 150g halloumi cheese, cut into 2.5cm cubes
- 2 oranges, cut into 2.5cm cubes
- 4 wooden skewers, soaked in cold water for 30 minutes
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 sprigs of rosemary, leaves removed and finely chopped
Directions
- Coat the halloumi cubes and orange cubes in olive oil.
- Thread a cube of halloumi followed by a cube of orange onto each skewer.
- Heat a grill pan over medium heat and lightly grease the pan with a little more olive oil.
- Grill the skewers until golden brown and the halloumi has softened, about 5 minutes on each side.
- Sprinkle the rosemary over the top and serve hot with a side salad.
