Ingredients

  • 4 slices whole wheat bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 slices Havarti cheese
  • 4 slices smoked turkey breast (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread out the slices of bread and brush each side lightly with butter.
  3. Place a slice of Havarti cheese on each slice of bread. For extra protein, top with a thin slice of turkey breast.
  4. Roll each slice of bread into a tight roll. (Steve’s tip: Not rollin’ good? Use toothpicks to keep the rollup secured!)
  5. When the skillet is hot, place each rolled slice in the pan and cook for about 4 minutes, flipping every minute or so to ensure even cooking.
  6. When golden and cheese is melted, remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
