Ingredients

  • 200g pearl sugar
  • 1 pack of baking powder
  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 265ml of lukewarm whole milk
  • 60g butter

Directions

  1. Pre-heat your oven/gaufrier to 200°C.

  2. “Let’s crack open a cold one… that means get the eggs out of the fridge”
    • Put the eggs in a medium-sized bowl and beat them until they are slightly frothy.
  3. Take a large bowl and mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder and pearl sugar together.

  4. Add the eggs and butter to the flour mixture and mix together until you have a dough-like consistency.

  5. “Once you’ve got it all crispy, let’s add some liquid for smoothness”
    • Slowly add 265ml of lukewarm whole milk to the mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Grease your oven/gaufrier plate with butter, then place spoonfuls of the dough onto the plate.

  7. Bake the gaufres for about 6 minutes at 200°C or until golden brown.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
