Ingredients
- 115 grams (3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons) of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 185 millilitres (3/4 cup) of vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons of natural milky yogurt
- 110 grams (1/2 cup) of caster sugar
- 2 to 3 tablespoon of cocoa powder
- Vanilla extract (amount unspecified)
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 16 cm (6-inch) cake pan and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, and yogurt until combined.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until it’s just incorporated.
5. Divide the batter in two. In the first half, stir in the sugar.
6. In the second half, stir in the cocoa powder and some drop of vanilla extract until fully combined.
7. Pour alternate spoonfuls of the two batters into the prepared cake pan in a zigzag pattern.
8. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Let the gâteau marbré cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
