Ingredients

Directions

  1. Start by preparing 3 cups of Uncooked Japanese White Rice. This is best done by first rinsing the rice several times to remove impurities from the grains. To rinse, place the rice in a strainer and rinse with cold water for about 3 minutes or more until the water runs clear.

  2. Place the rinsed rice in a medium pot with 4 cups of cold water and let sit for 10 minutes.

  3. Bring the pot of rice and water to a boil over medium-high heat and once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.

  4. Cook the rice for 15 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed. Once the liquid has been absorbed, turn off the heat and let the rice sit in the pot for an additional 10 minutes to give it time to rest and steam.

  5. Use a fork or spoon to fluff the rice so it is light and fluffy.

  6. Add furikake to the cooked rice and gently fold it in to evenly distribute

  7. Pour the Furikake Gohan into individual serving bowls and serve.
