Ingredients

  • 250g plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 120ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons of curry powder
  • 3 teaspoons of ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons of ground fennel
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli powder

Directions

  1. In a bowl mix the flour, eggs, oil and 120ml of water and knead into a dough.

  2. Add the garlic, curry powder, coriander, cumin, fennel, garam masala, turmeric, chilli powder and continue to knead the dough for 8 minutes until it becomes a bit smooth and soft.

  3. Divide the dough into four equal parts and shape them into balls.

  4. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough balls into round discs with a thickness of around 0.5cm.

  5. Preheat a pan on medium heat and lightly grease it with some oil.

  6. Place the dough discs on the preheated pan and cook them on both sides until they become goldenbrown and slightly crisp.

  7. Serve the Curry Bread warm with some chutney of your choice and a side salad or raita.
