Ingredients

  • 250g canned crab meat, drained
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 small red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Cooking oil spray

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained crab meat, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, diced onion, diced red bell pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. Form the crab mixture into small patties, about the size of your toddler’s palm. Make sure they are not too thick to ensure even cooking.

  3. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and spray with cooking oil.

  4. Place the crab cakes in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  5. Once cooked, remove the crab cakes from the pan and let them cool slightly before serving to your little ones.
