  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  2. On a plate, spread the mince mixture into 10 small patties, about 1 inch (2.5cm) in thickness.

  3. Thread the patties onto 4 long metal skewers (or presoaked wooden skewers), alternating with the tomatoes, mushrooms and potatoes. (Fun Fact: skewers were originally made out of wood, then reeds, before spears came into being – wowza!)

  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F) and place the kebabs onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven for 30 minutesflipping, the kebabs half-way through the cooking time. Serve hot and enjoy!

(Joke: what did the cow say when he was served a kebab? A kebab-bb! That was udderly delicious!)
