Ingredients

  • 500g lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Olive oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, carrot, egg, breadcrumbs, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, black pepper, and parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Add water to the mixture, a little at a time, until it reaches a moist consistency that can easily be shaped into meatballs by hand.
  3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Using your hands, shape the meat mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a ping pong ball.
