Ingredients

  • 200 g Cottage Cheese (Paneer), cubed
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 Dried Red Chilli peppers
  • 2 pieces of Cinnamon
  • 5 Green Cardamoms
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 medium sized Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium sized Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground Coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander Leaves, finely chopped

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the mustard, fenugreek, cumin seeds, red chilli peppers, cinnamon, cardamoms, and cloves. Fry for 1 minute.
  3. Add the onion to the pan and fry for 4-5 minutes, until it is golden brown.
  4. Add the bell pepper, grater masala, coriander powder, and turmeric powder to the pan and mix.
  5. Add the cottage cheese cubes and mix gently to coat with the spices. Fry for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously.
  6. Finally, add the chopped coriander and give the mixture one last stir.
  7. Serve the Achari Paneer hot with roti or naan.
